Human-to-human interactions through networked media, Social Presence and Presence in Virtual Environments, Social Computing, Stereoscopic Visualization, Human Vision and Perception, Awareness systems, Virtual Worlds and Virtual Reality, Computer Graphics, Camera Control, Virtual Sets and Special Effects
I have background in Civil Engineering, a MSc in Computer Graphics emphasizing Virtual Sets technologies, a PhD in Science-Informatics, approaching Presence in virtual interactions and stereoscopic visualization, based on human vision concepts, and a Postdoc at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
The research focus has been on areas that relate virtual and real, on human-human interactions under Presence approach, 3D displays, Stereoscopy and Human vision.
Some interests are to enrich computational systems by adding features based on Social Presence, Neurosciences and Psychophysics research results;
to improve human-human communication through media under socio-technological aspects;
design of new technologies based on human factors and social interactions.
I have a broad experience with Online media, Internet and those social interactions under this context.
With a multidisciplinary profile I am tuned in technology and innovation. Being a good conceptual thinker, with the ability to bridge humanities or social science and technologies, I like to be in the bridge of science, innovation technology and Social Computing.
