Stelarc in Edinburgh, UK : extreme human-machine interfaces

Stelarc is an Australian-based perfomance artist whose work explores and extends the concept of the body and its relationship with technology. Stelarc, and his implanted, wifi enabled ‘third’ ear, will be at the Edinburgh International Science Festival for two remarkable shows. FET 09 – Science Beyond Fiction - the Body and the Urban Space

Edinburgh Napier University has had a workshop accepted for the FET 09 conference in Prague in April. Presenters from NU, and from FIT and Umea University, Sweden, will explore issues relating to technology, the body and the urban environment.

Next Keho - how do Presence technologies affect social relationships?

The next issue of Keho will be ready at Presence 2008 in October.
